How to Fit Coving

Below are some simple guideline steps to fitting coving. We provide a coving installation service, if you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. The first step is to find what the projection and the depth the coving should be fitted at
2. Adjust your mitre box accordingly
3. With a sharp hand saw cut your first corner, then your second corner
4. Offer these two pieces up together to make sure they match
5. Mix up some joint filler
6. Then butter up both edges of the coving using a trowel
7. Fix this to the wall using drywall screws and a screw gun temporarily
8. Do the same with the other piece, not forgetting the internal
9. Offer this up to the other piece and fix with screws
10. Make sure to clean off joint filler with tools
